Bookkeeping website strategy and copy
SmartDesk
A clean, personal website for a trusted New Zealand bookkeeping team, shaped around the clarity and dependable support SmartDesk gives its own clients.

The brief
Built around the work that needed to happen next.
Liz came to Virtual Innovation after an expensive previous website build left her with something that did not work for the business or reflect the high standard of SmartDesk. Once that provider was no longer available to support her, she needed a dependable local team that would listen properly, understand how SmartDesk helps small businesses and build a website that felt as organised and capable as the service itself.
What we built
- Collaborative website strategy and story development with Pam from Virtual Innovation
- Personal, search-conscious copy shaped around Liz and the SmartDesk way of working
- A clean responsive design that keeps bookkeeping services clear and easy to explore
- Straightforward enquiry pathways plus dependable support beyond launch
The outcome
A sharp, uncluttered website that feels like SmartDesk, explains its value clearly and gives Liz a digital presence she is proud to share.
Pam worked closely with Liz to draw out the story behind SmartDesk, the problems the team solves and the calm, practical way they support business owners. That gave the project a real voice before design decisions were made.
We used AI where it genuinely helped the writing process, then applied the human judgement and personal detail that generic generated copy misses. The finished content sounds like SmartDesk, gives visitors useful answers and explains why Liz and her team are trusted with such an important part of a business.
The design follows the same philosophy as the service. It is clean, simple and sharp without becoming cold or generic. Liz now has a website she is proud to share, with clearer paths into the right service and a Virtual Innovation team ready to support whatever comes next.
- A story that sounds like SmartDesk
- Clean and easy to explore
- Local support Liz can rely on
