Hope you got some sun, some rest during the holiday break, and a chance to step away from the inbox. We’re just getting back into gear here too.
We’re not rushing into things, and we don’t think you should either. But a few small tweaks to your website or CRM this week can help you slide into the year without losing momentum.
Here are five easy ways to ease your business back online, no stress, no big rebuilds.
1. Make sure your site says “we’re back”

People are checking in again. Whether it’s clients, leads, or just curious visitors, don’t leave them guessing.
✅ Update your homepage banner if you had one saying you were closed
✅ Double-check your Google Business hours
✅ Remove any “closed for the holidays” messages from contact pages or pop-ups
If you’ve had new photos taken or added team members, it’s a good time to refresh your “About” page too.
2. Clean up any leads that came in over the break

Did a few enquiries come through while you were offline? Happens every time.
✅ Make sure your contact forms still work (seriously, check)
✅ Reply to messages that came in through Facebook or Instagram
✅ Tag those contacts in your CRM for easy follow-up later
If you’re using the VI Toolbox, you can also set up a quick automation to follow up cold leads with a simple “Hey, we’re back, still need help?” email or text.
3. Do a light homepage tidy

No full redesign needed. But you can give your site a fresh feel with just a couple of changes:
✅ Swap out any dated seasonal images
✅ Add a small message about what you’re focusing on this quarter
✅ Update any intro text or calls to action to suit where your business is now
You’ve probably grown or refined something over the break. Your site should reflect that.
4. Check what’s working behind the scenes

It’s easy to forget the “invisible” stuff, but this is where leads can quietly fall through the cracks.
✅ Test your chatbot or live chat (if you’ve got one)
✅ Check your Google Analytics or tracking tools are still working
✅ Make sure form submissions go to the right email inbox
This is also a good time to review your CRM automations. If you’re running off the VI Toolbox, test one or two key sequences and make sure they’re still relevant.
5. Add one small new thing

It doesn’t have to be big. Just something that makes the site feel alive:
✅ A fresh testimonial or case study
✅ A short post or note from your team
✅ A new image or update to your services section
You’re not rebuilding, you’re refreshing. Even a 10-minute update can help visitors feel like they’re landing somewhere current.
