Why Our Web Design Agency Started a Supplement Company
At Virtual Innovation, we’ve always believed in the power of trying new things. It’s in our name, and it’s what excites us whether we’re building high-performing websites or exploring new industries.
That’s why we recently took on one of our boldest projects yet: starting a supplement brand called Added Nutrition.
Why Supplements? Why Sleep?
As a team, we’ve worked with a lot of health and wellness brands. But this time we wanted to create something of our own, something personal. Over the past few years, we’ve seen the challenges adults with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism face. These neurodivergent thinkers often struggle with focus, energy, and overwhelm. And one issue comes up again and again: sleep.
Poor sleep makes everything harder. It fuels racing thoughts, reduces focus, and makes stress feel overwhelming. That’s why our first product, Added Sleep, is designed to support deeper, restorative rest so people can wake up clear-headed and ready to take on the day.
Building Added Nutrition
Launching a supplement company hasn’t been as simple as making a formula and throwing up a website. We’ve had to:
- Define our customer avatar — someone like “Kelly,” a 38 year old marketing professional with ADHD who wants natural, science backed ways to improve her sleep and focus
- Research the market — the global sleep supplement industry is already worth billions and is one of the fastest growing categories in wellness
- Work with New Zealand developers and US manufacturers to create a safe, effective product that aligns with FDA and Amazon compliance standards
- Build the brand from the ground up with our design team creating the Added Nutrition identity and Shopify site, which captures early interest through a pre launch waitlist
This is where our web design roots really helped. From the start we knew that capturing interest early was key, so we built AddedNutrition.com as a conversion focused landing page. Visitors can join the waitlist today and lock in an exclusive discount before the official launch.
What’s Next
Our goal is to launch Added Sleep on our website in the US this year (maybe in New Zealand too), starting in November. By combining great design, authentic storytelling, and data driven marketing, we believe we can make a real impact in a space that needs better solutions for neurodivergent adults.
At Virtual Innovation, this journey reminds us that web design isn’t just about pixels and code. It’s about helping ideas come to life. Whether it’s a new website or a new supplement brand, it all starts with listening to people’s challenges and building something that makes their lives better.
