Virtual Innovation is able to look after domain names for clients that we host websites for. This is an added service to just make it a bit easier. 

Our rate at writing this help doc is $40 + GST per year for registering the name for a .co.nz (different domain extensions may have different prices. 

To transfer a domain name to us we require something called a ‘UDAI Key’ this allows us to authenticate that we can take over the registering of the domain name. 

You can request this form the company that already holds the domain name. We recommend emailing them something like:

> Hi <Provider name>,
> 
> We are looking to transfer our domain name to Virtual Innovation. Can you please provide the UDAI Key for the domain name to me and copy in [team@virtualinnovaiton.co.nz](mailto:team@virtualinnovaiton.co.nz)
> 
> Any questions let me know.

Once we have the UDAI key the transfer takes about 24 hours to accomplish. We will use a tool called Cloudflare with your domain to make management easy in the future.
